senior thesis project
I'm probably one of the most indecisive people I know; which is why I've changed my senior thesis topic four times. As of today (mark it on your calendar) I believe I've finally settled on a topic I'm completely happy with. As a sneak-peek, below is my thesis statement, made beautiful with the help of Carrie.

Every day we interact with words, letters, and numbers through written communication, rarely stopping to study and admire the shapes and curves that comprise each written character. Typography, one of the most important and visually beautiful aspects of communication, has yet to be discovered by many. In my thesis project, I have created a museum environment in which typography is treated as sculpture and can be used as a tool for interaction. My focus on typography as the basis of design will help others appreciate reading and writing as physical form, as opposed to a mere transfer of knowledge.

I'm out of my mind with excitement - I'm running CS4!!! For the past 5 to 6 months, I've been having troubles running CS2 on the Leopard/Intel based platform. To top it off, Adobe no longer supports CS2.
The past 2 months have been a complete nightmare. I've reinstalled Illustrator and Photoshop so many times that I have the serial number memorized.
Yeah. That many times.

something to believe in...
If you're not directly connected to the art or design world on the past few months, you may have not noticed all of the beautiful work that is being created in support of Obama. For example: I signed up a little less than a month ago to recieve an email called 30 Reasons, which basically means 30 posters by 30 New York artists (many of them famous) arrive to my inbox every day for 30 days before the election. Clever.
Then today, I found this shirt posted on The Font Feed, a hilarious, satirical take on the Obama logo. You can buy it on Zazzle for $24.10. It's "Taste You Can Believe In"
